>> Weapons and Gear

All of POINT's weapons are custom built in-house by specialized armorers using commercial, off-the-shelf parts which are then modified and accurized to suit POINT's stringent operational requirements. These weapons must be able to withstand continuous abuse and function flawlessly throughout.

 

>> M-45 PCT

The standard-issue POINT sidearm is designated the M-45 PCT (POINT Custom Tactical) and is based on the tried and trusted Colt M1911A1 platform. Manufactured out of 7075-T7 aluminum for unmatched weight and durability and given an ultra-flat black finish, the frame also features an under-barrel mounting rail which carries a SureFire X400 LED weapon light and laser unit. The slide is milled from a single piece of steel and is given a roughened gray Parkerized finish. It features front and rear cocking ridges and is fitted with green three-dot tritium night sights. The weapon also features a match-grade titanium trigger with a 4.5 pound pull, a threaded match-grade bull barrel, an ambidextrous frame-mounted manual thumb safety, wrap-around rubber tactical grips and a beveled magazine well for easier reloading. The full-size magazine carries 8 rounds of .45 ACP and an additional one can be carried in the chamber.

 

>> Heckler & Koch HK416

The Heckler & Koch HK416 is POINT’s service carbine. A short-stroke piston-operated variant of the U.S. Army’s M4 carbine, the HK416 is chambered in 5.56mm NATO and is fed from STANAG-compatible 30-round detachable box magazines. The POINT-customized HK416s feature a 10.5" barrel, collapsible ACE SOCOM 5-position skeleton stock, a MagPul MIAD grip and PMAG magazines, an EOTech XPS3 holographic weapon sight, an AN/PEQ-15 infra-red laser module and a Knight’s Armament QD suppressor. The four MIL-STD-1913 accessory rails allow for the attachment of various components such as weapon lights, grenade launchers, vertical grips, etc.

 

>> Knight's Armament Company SR-25

For precision shooting, the Knight’s Armament SR-25 is the team’s preferred choice. Chambered for the full-size 7.62mm NATO cartridge and refitted with a custom-built gas piston operated upper receiver, the rifle is designed to be as powerful and versatile as possible. It features a fully-adjustable MagPul PRS stock, a 20” free-floating barrel (with optional suppressor), a folding bipod and a telescopic Mil-dot riflescope for maximum accuracy. Additionally, each high-impact, weather-resistant polymer magazine holds 20 rounds.
